30 Day Song Challenge - Day Seventeen.

A Song That You Hear Often On The Radio.

I don't really listen to the radio, more a music channels person, unless I'm in a car OBV. And I've only ever heard this whilst in Meg's car where I think I've heard it like 3 times..so that's often enough and I quite like it, probs because I never get to hear it :)

(P.S. I'm bored of this. But I'm a bit of a quitter so determined to battle through :) )

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Sixteen.

A Song That You Used To Love But Now Hate.

I don't HATE it but I don't love it half as much as I used to. I used to believe that tonight WAS going to be a good night but then it was played at every party and every pre drinking sesh and every night was no longer a good night..it was dull and overplayed. Still always fun to shout "l'chaim" though..

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Fourteen.

A Song That No One Would Expect You To Love.

I don't actually know what people would "expect" me to love but I kind of hope it isn't this. Even though I do, because it's amazingly catchy and upbeat and how could anyone not love this?? You just have to get over the whole Paris Hilton thing and it's perfectly acceptable. Pretty much..

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Thirteen.

A Song That Is A Guilty Pleasure.

Not because it's Glee (I love Glee) but because of the actual song. The original is a tad too country for me but I think this is bad enough. But bad in a really really good way :)

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Twelve.

A Song From Your Least Favourite Band.

I don't know..Jedward? Because they don't actually do their own songs? And every time they're on telly I want to throw something at them?

I refuse to post another song by them.

(I'm sure there is a REAL band that I dislike but I can't think of one and I've had a look around the itunes store and I don't hate anyone enough to put them here. So Jedward will do.)

Vitamin D.

So I don't know if you've heard..but it's SUNNY. And actually quite warm. Which is EXCITING. And I don't usually blog about my day because, well, who cares, but today was pretty good..I'll bullet point to make it more succinct :)

  • Stayed round the boys last night. Watched Jackass 3. Was good but can't handle things involving bodily fluids. Mainly poo.
  • Did the usual wake up, go back to sleep, mong about in bed until 12.
  • Boy made PERFECT toast, crispy on the outside, squidgy on the inside, just the right amount of butter.
  • Went down to the "park" (two swings and a slide). Ate a mars bar and picked at grass. Laughed at Foster scream on the swings.
  • Monged in the beer garden of the pub.
  • Had REALLY GOOD burger.
  • Had ice cream with golden syrup. NOM.
  • Played games on ipod whilst Foster played Fifa. Got stuck on a level on Bubble Burst. Expect Foster to get it done at work tonight.
  • Got the bus home. Sun was still out and found some tunes on ipod.
  • Realised I should crack the camera out a bit more. I like sunny pictures.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Eleven.

A Song From Your Favourite Band.

I love Kings Of Leon. Their albums are solid. And they're music has changed so it's not all samey but it's never (in my opinion) got worse. Only By The Night was the first full album I downloaded (closely followed by most of their back catalogue) but this was the first song I heard and loved, mainly because I heard it on the end credits of Suburbia. And I liked that film because it was summery. So this song was summery. And I used to strut around in the sun listening to it :)

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Ten.

A Song That Makes You Fall Asleep.

I have about 300 songs in my sleep playlist but this is one of the ones that I never hear the end of because it actually has made me fall asleep. Found it back when Skins was good and not total codswallop like it is now. (I know if I don't like it I shouldn't watch it but I have a lot of free time that needs filling..)

Thursday 17 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Nine.

A Song That You Can Dance Too.

Heard it for the first time over here. Usually whack it on before a night out to get me hyped (although not ideal to boogie and apply eyeliner). Foster has always linked me to songs (not all of them amazing I hasten to add, but he finds quite a few good'uns) but this was the first song I linked to HIM and he didn't totally reject it. WIN.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Eight.

A Song That You Know All The Words To.

I realised this last year when I couldn't sleep and had the chorus stuck in my head. And then went through the whole song word for word. And then was really pleased with myself. Even though the lyrics aren't exactly complex. But there you go :)

Monday 14 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Seven.

A Song That Reminds You Of A Certain Event.

They sang this song at Reading and I got a tad excited because I like how she says "HERE" so when Paramore had finished and we were waiting for Blink to come on, in my merry state I just kept shouting "HERE" in her accent whilst Foster half attempted to make me be quiet. Fun times :)

Sunday 13 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Six.

A Song That Reminds You Of Somewhere.

KAVOS BABY.
I realise this is probably everyone who went on holiday in 2010's holiday song but it was ridiculous how much it was played and how mental everyone went over it when it came on. And to quote Megan "It's so good though, especially that bit where it stops and you think it's all over BUT THEN IT STARTS AGAIN". Well she said something like that anyway, it was a while ago :)
And I know everyone hates other people's holiday in jokes but LEDZ ON TOUR.

Saturday 12 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Five.

A Song That Reminds You Of Someone.

This would probably be a strong contender for favourite song but it kind of had to go here. It reminds me of Foster because I fist heard it because of him. Appazza Foals released this once and no one liked it so they released it again like a year later where suddenly lots of people loved it. Foster had loved it from the first time. I had no idea about it even when it came out the second time.
And, I don't really remember, but I think we may have been having a conversation about Foals and I hadn't heard any of their newer stuff so he linked me. And he got really into describing the song. "Beautiful" was a word that stands out. At the time it was pretty funny..he also had a man crush on Yannis but to be fair who can blame him :)
And to be fair the song on its own is amazing, how it starts off quiet and calm and then builds up (I realise a lot of songs do this but this does it extra well, especially when you think it's building and then it goes back down again) and the video has something about it, like the water with all the broken ice on it and how Yannis is so dark against the white..ok, I'm starting to sound like him but there you go.
And I don't think this whole thing happened too long before we started going out so it's just sort of always been there. Lovely stuff.

Easy A-vatar.

See what I did there? MEGA LOLZ.

So I'm going to do a little Film 2011 thing..because in my unemployed state I've been watching a LOT of films..

I have just watched Easy A. And I really really liked it. All the characters were good and a bit different and slightly eccentric. The storyline was slightly meh but the characters made it, the main character's parents I thought were especially funny (although I don't think I would cope so well if they were my 'rents :/ ). And thanks to this bit..

..and the fact the song was her ringtone throughout the film I now have it stuck in my head...and keep re-enacting her Sunday night..

AVATAR. I never saw it when it was in cinemas because I refused to see it unless it was in 3D and nobody would go with me. Bad times. But I have now watched it. And think it was pretty good. It looked amazing and I think that it is probably the only film that would be made better by 3D (not a massive fan of 3D generally, think it's pointless TBH)
Storyline was alright, kind of been done before in that the guy gets ordered to do something then falls in love with a girl and is now on her side (slightly reminds me of cheesy american teen movies where the guy is doing something for a bet) but that may be slightly too harsh, it was good and I liked the link thing they had with nature.
Basically if you havn't already watched it, it's worth watching, although at 3 hours pretty long..

Friday 11 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Four.

A Song That Makes You Sad.

This has made me realise I have far too many depressing songs. Damien Rice is good with the sad songs and this is one of my faves (if you can have a favourite song that depresses you??). I aslo like it because it's about sex but not like too rowdy with it..if that makes any sense? I don't know..I like it and it's sad. So there you go.

Thursday 10 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Three.

A Song That Makes You Happy.

Mainly because I was sat on the bus the other day and it was sunny and this came on my ipod and did make me happy. I defy you to listen to it and be miserable.
And I know it's from the coke advert but the first time I heard it someone linked it to me so I didn't actually know this so we shall ignore the horrible commercialism of it all, ok? :)

Tuesday 8 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day Two.

Your Least Favourite Song.

This was also difficult..everytime I thought I'd found a song I hated I listened to it and thought it was alright. But this is a fucking travesty. I didn't mind Jedward when they were on X Factor, they were amusing it was all good. And then they stuck around and murdered songs and advertised things. It's horrible. HORRIBLE.

Monday 7 March 2011

30 Day Song Challenge - Day One.

Ok, so I know that my last 30 day challenge was a bit of a fail...but I'm hoping this one will be more successful..although just the first one has proved difficult...

Your (kind of) Favourite Song.

Yeah I admit defeat with this one..I don't have A favourite song..I have songs I like to listen to in certain moods and certain weathers..I have songs I get obsessed about and play on repeat for days/weeks (Sex On Fire by Kings Of Leon was the song that lasted the longest I think but that was about 3 years ago..) and after trawling through my iPod that hasn't been updated since last summer and my itunes and youtube which mainly have things I've got into recently and still not finding my definitive favourite song I give up. So have this because it was the last song I listened to before I gave up :) It's also the 5th most played song on my itunes (number one being Runaway by Kanye West which was an obsession that I got over, numbers two and three being Punching In A Dream and Young Blood and are only higher than Girls Like You because I had them before I had the rest of the album aaand Stay by Hurts which is a mega tune but deffo a winter song and as anyone who has a window, twitter or facebook knows today is sunny and so is spring :) ).

Hey, don't lie, I know you cared about my top 5 most played.
